Special Programming: HARDtalk - Pebble Mine Episode

We invite you to tune into KDLG this Friday, August 2nd at 4:30pm - following the Bristol Bay Fisheries Report - for a special, one time broadcast of the BBC's HARDtalk.

This episode of HARDtalk deals directly with the Pebble Mine issue and features interviews with John Shively and many local Bristol Bay residents.

Alaska's fishing community and mining industry are engaged in a bitter battle, with fishermen arguing that a planned gold mine risks poisoning the waters where Pacific salmon spawn. The debate has forced Alaskans to consider what kind of future they want for their wild and sparsely-populated state.

*All Things Considered can be heard in Dillingham at 1:00pm on 670AM and at 5:00pm on 89.9FM.
