BBAHC resumes routine medical care in Bristol Bay

BBAHC announced the change Friday, a week after it canceled non-urgent medical care and village travel because staff at Kanakanak Hospital in Dillingham had been exposed to coronavirus.

The Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation has resumed routine medical services in the region. COVID-19 protocols will be in place for all patients seeking care.

 

BBAHC announced the change Friday, a week after it canceled non-urgent medical care and village travel because staff at Kanakanak Hospital in Dillingham had been exposed to coronavirus. Emergency services remained open during that time.

 

The health corporation said village travel is being reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
