5th White House Tribal Nations Conference Scheduled for November

Last week President Obama confirmed that the 5th “White House Tribal Nations Conference” will be held in mid-November. The conference will be held at the headquarters of the Department of the Interior on November 13th and all 566 federally recognized tribes have been invited to send a representative to the conference. It’s expected that President Obama will attend along with the members of the White House Council on Native Affairs that was created back in June. The Chair of the Council is Interior Secretary Sally Jewell.
