BLM Transfers Over 2-Thousand Acres to the Village Corporation for Quinhagak

The Bureau of Land Management has made the final land transfer to the village corporation for Quinhagak (QUINN-uh-hawk). The corporation received over 2.4-thousand acres from BLM to fulfill the corporations land entitlement under ANCSA. All told the corporation has received just over 130.5-thousand acres of land surrounding the village of Quinhagak (QUINN-uh-hawk), which is located on the east side of Kuskokwim Bay. The subsurface estate was given to Calista, which is the regional corporation for the area.
