Burn Ban Lifted in the Lake Clark National Park

The Lake Clark National Park and Preserve has lifted the burn ban that’s been in place since about the middle of May. Park officials confirms that storms over the weekend brought an inch of rain to the area, which moderated the fire danger enough to lift the burn ban. Campfires are allowed in the park but visitors are asked to use the existing campfire rings or to build campfires on beaches or gravel bars.
