Dillingham area man in his 70s dies of COVID-19, according to the state

The state announced the death in a news release on Friday.

A man in the Dillingham area has died of COVID-19, according to a news release from the state on Friday. The man was in his 70s. 

The state also announced the death of an Anchorage woman in her 40s on Friday, and said both deaths were recent.

Four people in the Dillingham area have died of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, according to the state. A total of 445 Alaskans and 14 non-residents have died of the disease.

The state has reported 108 cases in the Bristol Bay region since the beginning of the month.
