U.S. Senator Mark Begich is in the midst of a reelection campaign and he’s touting his work to help Alaska’s veterans. On Monday a new group was launched called “Veterans for Begich”, which touted the junior Senator’s record and continued support for veteran’s issues. The group notes that in 2011 Senator Begich helped extend TRICARE services for dependent children of members of the military and then in 2012 he successfully passed a proposal to waive copays for telehealth and telemedicine visits for veterans.
