The Finance Committee in the Alaska Senate has wrapped up its work on a controversial piece of legislation that seeks to change the Alaska Constitution. Senate Joint Resolution 9 would basically allow public money to go to private and religious educational institutions. The move by the Finance Committee will likely set up a vote on the floor of the Senate in the coming days. KDLG’s Mike Mason has the story.
