The Chinook salmon run to the Nushagak River has showed up in force and escapement is well ahead of the historical curve. That has allowed the Alaska Department of Fish and Game to set a directed king salmon commercial opening in the Nushagak District for this Friday. KDLG’s Mike Mason has the details.
