7.0 Magnitude Earthquake His the Aleutian Islands Friday Morning

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 struck the Aleutian Islands this morning. The earthquake occurred at 8:25 this morning and was centered about 55-miles southeast of Adak. The earthquake was felt in Adak and Atka and the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center notes that shaking lasted up to 1-minute. So far there have been no reports of damage and no tsunami warnings are in effect.
