Catches dropped off a bit in Nushagak yesterday after Tuesday's giant haul. The age composition summaries of fish harvested in Egegik are showing older fish, 2-2s and 2-3s, are less well-represented than the preseason forecast predicted.

What do age composition summaries tell us about how the run is shaping up? Tonight we take a deep dive with Jack Erickson, research coordinator for the Bristol Bay region with ADF&G, on what the age of the sockeye returning to Bristol Bay this year so far may indicate about the run.

We also talk to setnetters Katie Bursch and Elma Burnham in Ugashik, where the fishing is still sleepy. Mike Davis and his greenhorn crew member, Izak Lederman from San Franscisco, describe fishing off Coffee Point on Tuesday in the Nushagak.
