No Progress, No Plans Yet For Salvaging Lonestar

The US Coast Guard is still waiting on a new salvage plan, a spokesman said Tuesday, after Magone Marine's salvage attempts failed last month.

DILLINGHAM:  The F/V Lonestar has not been moved from the shallow, muddy waters of the Igushik River, and for the time being the crews hired to remove it have pulled off the scene. With the summer quickly turning to fall, the Coast Guard says they’re anxiously awaiting a plan from Magone Marine on how exactly that sunken ship will be hoisted up off the river bottom, preferably before there’s any ice in the river.
