With spring increasingly near at-hand, it's safe to say that this winter has been a little different than years past. After a rainy December and January, the snow certainly, and finally, arrived. But something else many have noticed is smaller number of ptarmigan in usual spots around the area. KDLG News put student reporters August Shade and Connor Ito on the hunt to find out where these birds may be, and if they're going to yet arrive. They filed this report:
