South Naknek Man Arrested for Peeping in Windows

Benny Kevin Angasan, 20, was charged with two counts of first degree stalking after a woman caught him peeping in windows last Friday morning.

DILLINGHAM:  Benny Angasan, 20, of South Naknek, was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree stalking after a woman reported seeing him outside of a window early last Friday morning.

The woman, a visitor to town, had stepped outside at about 7:00am Friday, and noticed a man crouched beneath the bedroom window of the woman whose house she was staying at. Another person confirmed seeing Angasan in the same area that morning.

When the Bristol Bay Borough police spoke with Angasan later Friday, he admitted to drinking a bottle of rum during the night and peeping into the woman's windows. He told police he enjoys the thrill of scaring people by looking in their windows.

Angasan is on felony probation for a previous drug-related conviction. He will need a court-approved third-party custodian to be released from custody.
