Senator Murkowski To Give A Major Policy Speech on Energy

Alaska’s Senior U.S. Senator is scheduled to give a major policy speech on energy tomorrow in Washington, D.C. Senator Lisa Murkowski will give the speech as part of the Brookings Institute’s “Energy Security Initiative”, which the institute claims is designed to encourage the development, discussion and dissemination of high-caliber energy research. During her speech Senator Murkowski is expected to address the recent increase in the domestic production of oil and natural gas and how that increase is providing new opportunities for the economy. Senator Murkowski is the ranking Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. During tomorrow’s event the Senator is expected to release a white paper on energy exports called “A Signal to the World: Renovating the Architecture of U.S. Energy Exports. The white paper is part of Senator Murkowski’s blueprint for the nation’s energy policy called “Energy 20/20: A vision for America’s Energy Future. Murkowski’s speech is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9-am on the East Coast. That’s 5-am Alaska time.
