Ready-To-Eat Products Recalled Due to Possible Listeria Contamination

A major supplier of ready-to-eat products has expanded a recall due to possible Listeria contamination. Reser’s Fine Foods is recalling ready-to-eat cold salads, coleslaws, baked beans, salsas, spreads, and dips that are marked with a use-by-date or best-by-date that is followed by the plant identifier code, 20. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation reports that recalled products were available in Alaska at retail stores and food service establishments. However, DEC notes that to date, no illnesses have been reported in Alaska. Consumers who purchased the product should not eat the product. Instead the products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase. You can find a complete listing of the recalled products on the FDA website.
