This week the state’s Local Boundary Commission is expected to travel to Manokotak and Dillingham for public hearings on two annexation petitions. Both cities are seeking to annex all or a portion of the Nushagak commercial fishing district to collect raw fish tax revenues. Even though a staff report recommends against both petitions, the commissioners want to hear from the public before they make a  final decision.
