Koliganek man arrested, could face murder charges

Charles Nelson could face two felony charges for muder in the second degree and manslaughter. 

Koliganek resident Charles Nelson, 57, was arrested Saturday. Hecould face two felony charges of murder in the second degree and manslaughter of Koliganek resident, Johnathan Larson. Nelson could also be charged with two misdemeanors for reckless endangerment and misconduct involving a weapon.

According to a report, Alaska State Troopers met with Nelson on Saturday, who told them about the incident. Nelson was in an alleged argument with the over alcohol.  In the report, Nelson said that he had no intention of killing the victim. He told troopers he allegedly fired a warning shot, but struck the victim. Nelson was transported to the Dillingham jail with no bail.
