DLG Woman Arrested For Selling Pot

Kora Golia, 31, was arrested Thursday. She's facing a felony charge because of her home's proximity to a school, in this case Head Start at BBNA.

DILLINGHAM:  Kora Golia, 31, of Dillingham was arrested for selling marijuana Thursday. Golia was charged with a class C felony because her house, where police say the marijuana was being sold, is located just a few hundred feet from BBNA’s Head Start school for young children.

A local pastor called police after hearing from a family member who said she didn’t feel safe in the home while drinking and drug dealing was going on.

Golia was arrested Thursday night. Police say she cooperated with the officers and admitted to having four baggies of pot that she was selling at $100 each.

Golia faces a class C felony charge for possessing the drugs near a school, a misdemeanor drug charge for possession and intent to distribute less than an ounce of marijuana, and a non-criminal violation for endangering the welfare of a child.

Golia's bail was set at $1,500 at her arraignment Friday morning.
