The Dillingham High School Basketball Season is Underway

The Dillingham boys and girls high school basketball teams have each started their seasons. The Dillingham boys are currently 1-1 on the year after splitting games last week with the Bristol Bay Angles. Friday night the Angles edged out the Wolverines 49 to 46. The Dillingham Wolverines and the Bristol Bay Angles squared off again Saturday morning. Dillingham won that game by a score of 61 to 51. The Lady Wolverines started their season Friday night in Naknek against the Lady Angles. Dillingham won that game by a score of 72 to 41. They then beat the Lady Angles for a second time on Saturday by a score of 41 to 35. Both the Dillingham boys and girls teams will next be in action Thursday as part of the annual Nikiski Tip Off Tournament. The Lady Wolverines will take on Nikiski Thursday evening at 5:45 and the Dillingham boys are scheduled to take on Nikiski that night at 7:15. The Dillingham teams will then take on Houston Friday afternoon followed by games against Homer Saturday afternoon.
