Dillingham Elementary Principal Nick Schollmeier no longer employed at school district

The district said in a news release this afternoon that it “determined it is in the best interests of the Dillingham Elementary School and Collective District to make a change in leadership.”

Dillingham Elementary School’s principal, Nick Schollmeier, is no longer employed at the school district as of Monday.

 

The district said in a news release this afternoon that it “determined it is in the best interests of the Dillingham Elementary School and Collective District to make a change in leadership” and that “the District wishes Mr. Schollmeier well in his future endeavors.” 

 

Superintendent Jason Johnson declined to comment further. 

 

The elementary school’s director of climate and culture, Nick Tweet, has stepped in as the acting principal for the rest of the 2021-2022 school year.  

 

Schollmeier has worked as the elementary school principal since 2014. According to his LinkedIn page, he received a Masters of Education in educational leadership and administration from the University of Alaska Southeast in 2013 and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and teaching from the University of Sioux Falls.
