Dillingham Class of 2015 Graduates

27 Dillingham Seniors graduated Friday night.

On Friday evening, Superintendent of Dillingham School District Danny Frazier announced the 27 high school graduates from Dillingham.

Cole Schlagel is valedictorian and advised his fellow graduates to apply the intelligence they’ve gained in school to life.

"Its statistically proven that the Class of 2015 is one of the most intelligent classes to ever graduate from Dillingham High School," said Schlagel. "Everyone in this room is capable of changing the world but many of us do not know where to start. Start by creating an idea and simply applying it and laziness is not an excuse to waste your intelligence.”

Superintendent Frazier says the district has made a concentrated effort to reduce the dropout rate over the past five years.

"This has to potential to be the highest graduating class, percentage wise, that Dillingham has had since they've started counting in 2000," said Frazier.

Dillingham Principle Bill Schwan says about half of the graduates plan to go onto some form of post-secondary education.
