Dillingham approves second round for CARES Act grant program

The first round of the grant program approved grants for 31 businesses and 185 individuals. Businesses received an average of $5,000, and household grants averaged around $700.

 

The City of Dillingham has approved a second round of CARES act grant funding. Grant applications are due November 20th.

Individual applicants must be residents of Dillingham, and businesses and nonprofits must be located within city limits. People who received money from the first round of grants can still apply for funding this round; grants must be used for necessary expenses related to COVID-19. Applications take around two weeks to be approved and payments are sent two weeks after that.

According to the city’s projections, $284,300 will be spent on those grants, leaving about $395,700 remaining for this second round.
