Bristol Bay Fisheries Report: June 18, 2018

Avery Lill/ KDLG

It's the first Bristol Bay Fisheries Report of the season!

Optimisim is high even if activity is a bit slow here at the start of Bristol Bay's 2018 commercial salmon fishery. On the first Bristol Bay Fisheries Report of the season we talk to Andy Wink about what tariffs China recently announced on imports of Alaska seafood could mean for the Bristol Bay sockeye market, and we hear what's on the minds and hearts of fishermen in the Naknek boat yards, getting ready to launch their boats.

Catch this program nightly at 6 p.m., 10 p.m., and 2 a.m. on AM 670, and online at KDLG.org. (With early broadcasts Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.)
