Dillingham Schools Test Lockdown

This week, the Dillingham City School District is testing procedures for locking down a school in the event that someone enters the school with a weapon, similar to what happened in Newtown, Connecticut last December.  KDLG's Dave Bendinger has more:

The issue of education funding has come to the forefront of discussions in the Alaska Legislature this week.      KDLG's Mike Mason reports.

Lawmakers in Juneau are working out the details of education funding for the next school year. At the same time school districts across the state are trying to prepare their budgets. KDLG's Mike Mason looked at budget for the school district in Dillingham for this report.

The new addition to the campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Bristol Bay Campus in Dillingham was officially unveiled to the public on Thursday during an open house. KDLG's Mike Mason looked around and filed this report.
