Longtime singer-songwriter/activist has the Pebble Mine in his sights with a new album about the people, places, and stories of Bristol Bay.

DILLINGHAM:  This weekend, folk singer and activist Si Kahn will be in Bristol Bay to debut his new album of songs written about the region and in protest to the Pebble Mine.

KDLG News spoke with Kahn last week while he was performing on the road in France. He said that in 2010, he was invited to come visit and write just one song that could be used as a theme for the efforts to protect Bristol Bay. But after a couple of weeks of getting to know the place and the people, an entire album, his 18th, was born.
