Pilot Point man missing since late April

Gust Griechen IV, 25, was last seen in late April. State Troopers have no records of him leaving Pilot Point by air, and are asking any with information on his whereabouts to call AST King Salmon or Dillingham posts.

A young man from Pilot Point is listed as missing by the Alaska State Troopers. Gust Griechen IV, 25, has not been seen since late April.

His sister Breanna Griechen said Friday authorities do not believe he left the village by plane.

“The troopers checked records, and they have no records yet, she said. "They're probably still gathering information but we don’t know anything yet.”

A state trooper dispatch says Gust Griechen was last seen on April 27 walking towards an area creek. The family is using social media to see if anyone knows where he might be, and asking folks in the region to keep an eye out for him.

“He’s about 5’8”, he has black hair, dark brown eyes, and he had a beard the last time I saw him which was the 27 of April," Breanna Griechen said. "Whoever’s around, just keep an eye out for him, we don’t know much at this time at all. Troopers are looking, doing an aerial search and all that.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 25-year-old Gust Griechen is asked to call state troopers in Dillingham or King Salmon.
