Kodiak Man Charged With Selling Salmon Caught in the Ugashik District Down in Port Moller

A man from Kodiak has been charged with unlawful of landing of salmon in Bristol Bay.

58-year old K-J Herman was charged on Monday. The King Salmon Wildlife Troopers allege that Herman harvested over 2-thousand pounds of salmon in the commercial fishery in the Ugashik District last year and then took them to Port Moller where they were sold. That's not legal. The State Troopers confirm that Herman will be arraigned in the Naknek District Court on February 27th.
