Gunner Knapp Chosen as the ISER Director

ISER

A man who is well known to commercial fishery stakeholders across the state of Alaska has been chosen to head the University of Alaska’s Institute of Social and Economic Research. Gunner Knapp is a professor of economics and is considered one of the keenest observers of the commercial fishing industry in Alaska. Knapp has served as the interim ISER director since January. He has been a member of the ISER faculty since 1981 when he earned his PhD from Yale. ISER was created back in 1961.
