Bristol Bay Fisheries Report, June 21 2016

Cate Gomez, Tara Henry

There's a little bit of fishing around the Bay as the run slowly takes shape, plus Togiak herring are making a huge splash in Seattle this week.

Monday's catch was 100,000 sockeye, doubling the season total. Escapement was 87,000, mostly in Egegik and the Nushagak, and the season total is 330,000. The total run to Bristol Bay is now over half a million ... 46 million more to go.

The Port Moller Test Fishery was on the water today, but didn't have data relayed in time for this broadcast. We'll include the latest in our local news Wednesday morning.
